Precision Honing and Structural Repair for Diesel Engine Blocks Across All Industries
Diesel engines demand consistent cylinder wall geometry and structural block integrity to maintain compression, oil control, and reliable combustion — especially under high load and continuous-duty conditions. Our CNC cylinder honing and block repair services are designed specifically for the diesel market, serving applications in agriculture, construction, transportation, power generation, and marine environments.
Whether you’re rebuilding a small-bore off-road engine or a large industrial diesel block, our state-of-the-art equipment ensures every bore is true, every surface is to spec, and every repair is ready to endure the extreme demands of diesel operation.
Diesel cylinders are exposed to intense internal forces, high combustion temperatures, and long duty cycles. Over time, these factors can lead to:
Proper honing corrects wear and surface damage, while structural block repair addresses deeper issues like cracking, cavitation, and core erosion. Both are essential for ensuring consistent performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions compliance in any diesel engine.

We begin with a detailed inspection of the block, using bore gauges, profilometers, and visual inspection to assess wear, damage, and structural condition.
Cracks, voids, or eroded areas are repaired using metal stitching, welding, or epoxy processes, depending on the material and application. Sleeves are replaced as needed (wet or dry), and decks or main housings are inspected for warping or damage.
Our automated CNC honing equipment removes material in controlled increments to correct geometry and surface finish. We restore bores to OEM diameter, straightness, and roundness, while tailoring the finish to ring type and engine duty.
We apply the correct crosshatch and plateau finish for optimal oil retention, heat transfer, and ring seating — based on the engine’s application and specifications.
Every cylinder is checked for final dimensions, surface texture, and finish compliance. If required, additional inspection is performed on deck flatness, main bore alignment, and sleeve interference fit.
Our honing and block repair services cover a broad
range of diesel platforms:

Light-duty diesel trucks and vans

Tractors, combines, irrigation engines

Loaders, compressors, welders, and pumps

Propulsion and auxiliary diesel engines

Medium- and heavy-duty truck engines

Prime and standby generator engines

With more than 40 years of diesel machining expertise, we understand the physical demands diesel engines face — and the machining precision they require to perform. Our investment in CNC honing and in-house block repair capabilities allows us to restore engines faster, more accurately, and more reliably.
We’re not just rebuilding blocks — we’re rebuilding confidence in your equipment, one cylinder at a time.
